Kapp to Cape
In 2013, Reza teamed up with Steven Pawley in an attempt to set the World Record for the Fastest Bicycle Journey from Nordkapp in the Arctic Circle to Cape Town in South Africa. Each carrying 30kg of equipment, they pedaled the entire length of the planet, over 11,000 miles, crossing 13 countries on three continents, completely unsupported.
The journey took them to punishing terrain, primitive roads, and harsh and debilitating climates, and they came face to face with danger in the world’s most volatile regions. Despite serious food poisoning, hostility and even malaria, Reza managed to finish the journey in 102 days.
“Kapp to Cape”, the 4-part TV series, was aired worldwide on Fox, Outside TV, YLE and additional networks internationally. The film was listed in the official selection of the prestigious Busan International Film Festival, and was shown at other adventure film festivals around the world.
